Winter 2022 PTA Extended Day / Playdate Everyday
Winter Session Monday January 3, 2022 - Friday March 25, 2022

 

Extended Day and A Playdate Everyday have decided to join together to offer one program for Winter 2022 Registration.  We made this decision for a few reasons :

1.  We wanted to bring the best of both programs together.

2.  We wanted to simplify the registration and participation process for families.

3.  We wanted to simplify the routines for 3 and 4 year olds.

4.  We wanted to create a structure that limits the number of children from different classrooms interacting with each other to impact the fewest number of students, teachers and classrooms should a positive Covid case occur at K280.

 

For Winter, you will simply need to register for the days of the week you would like to participate in after school.  

 

Every day, we will follow the same structure:
2:45-3:15 pm Snack, bathroom, and settling in time

3:30-4:00 pm Circle time with stories, songs, and dramatic play.

4:00-5:00 Playdates where children are paired one on one to have fun, communicative play.  Some children will play outside during this time.

5:00-5:50 pm Outside time for children who had playdates.  Playdate time for children who were outside (weather permitting).

 

On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, our team will enrich the experience with Spanish, sign language, and Arts & Crafts.  On Tuesdays and Thursdays, we will bring in teaching artists from the same companies who delivered fall programs to Extended Day and rotate enrichment opportunities in with all children.  Children may experience different classes during the Winter term, and not just one enrichment.

 

Pick up times for all children will be 4:05 pm or 5:05-5:50 pm.  We ask families to plan pick up for these times and not in between 4:15-5:00 pm.  

 

There is no lottery, no waiting list, and no cap for enrollment.  Just register for the days of the week you would like after school. We will take care of the rest in providing a fun, enriching, safe experience for your children.
