Open to 3rd-5th Grade
This workshop takes place at the Koko Lot - 440 19th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11215; Extended Day staff will walk the students over to the Koko Lot and back to the school building. Parents may not pick up their students from the Koko Lot! Please note that space is limited to 18 Students.

Time: 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
A signed Waiver is mandatory for participation.
House Building Workshop: In this workshop, kids will build mini structures fit for humans, pets, and other creatures (real or imaginative). Kids learn to use planning, engineering, woodworking and critical thinking skills to create structures. Found objects and other recycled materials will be used to build the structures. Kids will use handsaws, battery-operated drills, and other tools in this workshop.

Outdoor/Extreme Weather Considerations/Health & Safety: KoKo workshops take place 100% outdoors. We build and play outside in all weather except for thunderstorms or lightning. We closely monitor weather conditions and will shelter at the Lot or a local facility until storms pass.
