Knowing that the 2020-21 school year will be very different, the PS10 PTA Extended Day program is pivoting the services we offer to families to help supplement what the school will and will not be able to offer. Everything is up in the air until we get a final word on what school will look like in the fall, but we want to be ready for all scenarios. Here's what we're working on:
- We are working closely with the PS10 administration to see if we can run any portion of the program on-site for the days the students attend classes.
- We are planning live, remote learning sessions for small groups of students that will reinforce the curriculum assigned by classroom teachers. In addition, we will also offer online enrichment classes to either supplement or fill in what is missing from the school days.
- We will offer in-person, small group outings in the park and around the neighborhood to get kids moving and give parents a short break (with safety measures in place, naturally).
